Casino Royal - Shower Scene

After firstly seeing the shower media coursework: which is the second link in the below post we then realied we wanted to do something involving a shower- after looking through youtube a conversation came up about a scene in Casino royal- The shower scene, as a groupwe thought that this was perfect. However we decided that it might be a bit too complicated, therefore decided to think about some of the ideas- and we came up with the idea of a dream...

Work within the group.

After uploading the footage that we had filmed, as a group we decided that it wasn't what we were intending to do. Not the result we were after, therefore together decided it was time to think of a new idea- an idea that wasn't complex, but basic revealing the depth of the shoots. This is to ensure it doesn't become like a TV drama.

We decided to look at other media pieces, a few we came across were: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzc0gTiq5iY. Although this is a music video, the shots are unbelievable and this really gave us a lot of inspiration, we also came across another piece of media: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tODtjmGzo7k- we especially thought that the shower part within this was amazing, the shot and editing made it look as if it really was a film. However we then came across Casino Royale.

Main task; change-

Whilst planning to do our main task, although taking in what we had done right and wrong within our preliminary task's we still didn't agree on one idea we all still continued to fire ideas to each other which often made it to complex- we wanted to keep our main task simple and with not too many shots- however the story we were doing needed more shots that we wanted.

When we first had the oppurtunity to do almost a day of filming, we began to get the actors ready the actors in this were: Elise, Ellie and myself; when beginning we realised getting our costumes correct for the opening it took a lot longer than we though it would, therefore this left us with a minable time to film. Once all of our costumes were finished the group still found it hard to begin. We had problems with getting the camera shots to flow, and we needed to do this is order to get the correct exam requirments.

After attempting to film, everyone became fustrated and tired. We all want to get the best mark possible therefore are brains are all exploding with ideas on how we could do this, at the end of the day we ended up with about 30 seconds of filming, but nothing fitted.

As a consequence although time consuming I believe we now have a lot more knowledge of what we want; the preliminary task was useful however it wasn't a film opening after trying to do this we know no what makes the filming more TV drama and this is:  The more shots done the more it is like this. After all of this we then got together, and while importing our footage on to the computers we came to a joint agreement that we should look at other as media openings and also fiml opening's; some footage that got our attention was- Casino Royale.
