Claude-Levi-Strauss

Claude Levi-Strauss: Narrative theory
A narrative theory is the coherence/organisation given to a series of facts about someone/ someone’s story. According to research the human mind needs narrative to make sense of things. In everything we see for example a story has a; beginning, middle and end. Claude Levi-Strauss was a social anthropologist; he studied myths of tribal cultures. The research he discovered has been adapted by media theorists to reveal oppositions in media. The oppositions are opposed to others so that we can make different views and new discoveries.
