Dennotes: This is in other word does happen- "There uniforms denoted they go to school"
Mise-En-Scene: This is like an arrangment of scenery- The mise-en-scene is planned, therefore anything in a TV drama/Movie, is planned. The Mise-en-scene is there to also add to the atmosphere.
Diagetic sound: This is actual sound from within, for example- The characters voices, sounds made by objects within like the: Car noises, radio and TV.
Non diagetic sound: This is commentary sound-music which is added over the top, to add to the atmosphere although the characters can not hear this. An example of when non diagetic sound is used is in 'The persuit of happynes', when Will begins to walk there is a voice over in which says: This part of my life is called running.
